20 Luxury Fashion Brands With Beautifully Designed Websites

Key Takeaways

  • The 20 sites are Burberry, Mulberry, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Sunspel, Vivienne Westwood, Jimmy Choo, Anya Hindmarch, Represent, Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Loewe, Prada, Ganni, Toteme, Khaite and The Row; we read every homepage on 24 October 2026 and describe only what each one served.
  • Seven of the 20 run on Shopify (Victoria Beckham, Sunspel, Anya Hindmarch, Represent, Toteme, Khaite and The Row), six on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and seven on custom builds; Shopify's own enterprise guide names Khaite and Victoria Beckham among the luxury sites on its platform.
  • The shared features are service and story, not spectacle: every site has an editorial, runway or brand story section, 18 of 20 show a country or ship to selector, nine offer appointment booking or a personal advisor and eight offer WhatsApp or live chat.
  • Only six of the 20 homepages carried a video element in the HTML as served; the rest open on still photography, and the ones that do use video (Sunspel, Anya Hindmarch, Khaite, Represent, Hermès and Burberry) mute and loop it rather than letting it play with sound.
  • Buy now pay later is almost never promoted: Klarna or Clearpay messaging appears on three of the 20 homepages (Victoria Beckham, Ganni and Khaite), although several others accept the same methods quietly through their payment providers.
  • Photography does the work on all 20, and it does the work for smaller brands too: when we helped Halo Coffee with its rebrand and relaunch, Halo invested in specialist product photography and worked with the creative agency Uncommon, and conversion rate rose from 0.5% to 3% after the relaunched site went live.

Quick Answer

The best designed luxury fashion websites share a formula: a near silent header, one hero image or muted loop, a short navigation that leads with newness and signature products, an editorial section that tells the house story, a ship to selector that sets currency and duties before the shopper hits checkout, and a clear route to a human through appointments, advisors or WhatsApp. Of the 20 sites here, seven run on Shopify, six on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and seven on bespoke builds, which shows the look comes from typography, photography and restraint rather than from the platform.

Table of Contents

Luxury is a serious business in Britain. Walpole's Luxury in the Making study, published in March 2024 on 2022 data, puts the UK luxury sector at £81bn a year, 3.7% of GDP and 454,000 jobs, and Fondazione Altagamma's June 2026 monitor update with Bain forecasts personal luxury goods growing between 2% and 4% this year. Most of those brands now sell online, and their websites are the most imitated in ecommerce. This list looks at 20 of them, what each one does well, and what a smaller brand can take from them without a seven figure budget.

How We Chose and Checked the Sites

We picked 20 luxury fashion and accessories brands with a UK presence, weighted towards British houses, and read each homepage on 24 October 2026. Where the site allowed it we fetched the page itself and inspected the code for platform signatures, video elements, fonts, payment strings and link text; for seven sites that refused a plain fetch we read a text version, so fonts and markup could not be checked and we say so. Four houses, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent and Gucci, block automated reading entirely and are not included for that reason alone. Everything below describes what each homepage served on that day, not what a browser shows after scripts run.

What the 20 Homepages Have in Common

Features counted on the 20 luxury homepages as served on 24 October 2026. Source: Why Matters review of each site.

The chart undercuts two assumptions. The first is that luxury means cinematic video: only six homepages served a video element, and every one of those muted it. The second is that luxury ignores practicalities: 18 of 20 put a country or ship to control where a shopper can find it, because duties, currency and delivery promises are where international orders fail. What every site does have is a place for the story, called Burberry World, Westwood World, Stella's World, JC World, Anya's World, GANNI World, Stories, Journal or CELINE NOW, and that is the feature smaller brands most often skip: most stores we work with have a good brand story that never reaches the customer.

  • Service is a navigation item. Chanel and Burberry put Book an appointment in the main menu; Louis Vuitton lists Personal Advisors under Services; Loewe names a Client Advisor and a concierge for reservations.
  • Navigation leads with newness and signatures. New Arrivals or New In opens the menu on 11 of the 20, followed by a signature product such as Mulberry's Icons, Prada's Signature Loafers or Burberry's Cashmere Shop.
  • Collaborations are headlines. Burberry x Smythson, Highgrove x Burberry, GANNI x lululemon, GANNI x Hunter, KHAITE x Oliver Peoples and Jacquemus style partnerships sit at the top level rather than in a blog.
  • Accessibility is becoming standard. Twelve of the 20 link to an accessibility statement and several load assistive widgets; Chanel offers a high contrast mode and Louis Vuitton an enhanced contrast control.

Which Platforms the Brands Use

Custom buildBurberry, Mulberry, Alexander McQueen, Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, PradaNext.js, React, Angular or Adobe Experience Manager signatures, or no platform strings at all

Shopify's luxury ecommerce guide names Skims, Bremont, Khaite and Victoria Beckham among luxury sites on the platform, and our reading of the code confirms the last two. The Shopify brands are not the small ones: Victoria Beckham's homepage carries 195 regional versions and The Row's 428. Shopify Plus starts at £1,800 a month on Shopify's UK pricing page, and our guide to Shopify Plus against Shopify Advanced works out when the move pays. A brand that wants a custom front end without leaving Shopify can read about headless Shopify first.

1. Burberry

Burberry runs a custom Next.js build with images served through Adobe's dynamic media and a Brightcove video player lower down the page. The homepage opens on still photography for 170: The Anniversary Portraits and a menu that reads like a magazine's contents: Burberry x Smythson, Highgrove x Burberry, The Cashmere Shop, Summer 2027, Burberry Classics. The header states Shipping to United Kingdom (£), and the navigation carries Book an Appointment, a Bespoke Trench Service and contact by phone or WhatsApp. Heritage lives under Burberry World with Trench Craft, the type is a bespoke serif and sans pair with Styrene, and the footer links to an accessibility statement.

Borrow this: give your heritage a permanent home in the navigation rather than a one off campaign page.

2. Mulberry

Mulberry is a React build with scripts from Salesforce's Experience Cloud, and its homepage is still imagery rather than video. The menu puts Bags first, then What's New, Pre Loved, Women, Purses and Icons, with a bag sub menu organised by shape (crossbody, tote, shoulder, bucket) and by name (Bayswater, Amberley, Lily, Alexa, Roxanne). The services footer is the model for a leather goods brand: Repairs, Leather Care, In Store Care, Personalisation and Appointments, plus a Journal, Craftsmanship and The Mulberry Story. A Select your region control sits in both the main navigation and the footer, and type loads from Adobe Typekit.

Borrow this: let shoppers browse by shape and by name; two routes to the same product suit two kinds of customer.

3. Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen serves its imagery from Kering's digital asset platform and, read as text, opens on a single image of leather boots with one Shop Now link. The navigation is seven words long: Women, Men, Sneakers, Gifts, Collections, About McQueen, Stories. The header shows Shipping to United Kingdom with a language control, and the service layer is unusually explicit, with Request an Appointment under both appointment services and customer services, an online assistance service and a store services page. Fonts and page markup could not be checked from the text version.

Borrow this: a seven item menu is enough when the imagery does the selling.

4. Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney runs on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and the homepage stacks named stories: Introducing Wild Horses, Summer 2027, Vegan bags, Winter 2026 Knitwear, each with its own heading. The menu mixes product with positioning (Stella Icons, Stellawear, The Office Edit, Stella's World, Archive Sale), and the copy states Handcrafted in Italy from luxury, vegan materials near the top. The country switcher is injected by a cross border service rather than printed in the page, so it did not appear in our read, and service is a phone number and a contact page. The footer carries an Accessibility link and an assistive technology app.

Borrow this: name your edits like editorial features; The Office Edit sells a point of view, not a category.

5. Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham is a Shopify store, which Shopify's own guide confirms, and it is the most fully equipped homepage in the list. The header announces Subscribe for 10% off your first order; a country selector app reads United Kingdom shipping to; the footer offers a Harper concierge service, Bringing the store to you, available in Greater London; an appointment booking app and a live video shopping button are loaded; and the payment icons show Klarna, Clearpay, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal and Google Pay. The menu runs New Arrivals, Return to Form, Autumn Winter 2026, Iconics, The Travel Capsule, As Worn by Victoria and Editorial, with Stories and Shows behind it. Type is Gibson with Poppins, an accessibility statement is linked and Klaviyo handles the email.

Borrow this: if you take instalment payments, say so on the homepage; two of the other 19 do.

6. Sunspel

Sunspel is a Shopify store whose homepage served two autoplaying, muted, looping videos in 1080p from Shopify's video hosting, with 33 still images behind them. The title reads Luxury British Men's and Women's Clothing and the menu says it plainly: Made in Britain, Sea Island Cotton and Cashmere sit beside T shirts, Polo Shirts, Knitwear and Underwear. The type is a bespoke Sunspel Standard with Grotesque MT, both self hosted. There is no country selector because the store is set to GB and sterling, service is a contact page and a chat widget, and The Journal and Care Guides sit in the footer with an accessibility link.

Borrow this: make the material the menu; Sea Island Cotton as a navigation item is a product and a promise at once.

7. Vivienne Westwood

Vivienne Westwood runs on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and opens on a single campaign still for the current season that links straight to New Arrivals. The menu is the brand's world in ten words: New Arrivals, Boudoir, Bags, Women, Men, Worlds End, Sunglasses, Watches, Gifts, Collections. A country control offers language and currency, the footer shows an accepted payments image rather than provider names, and the editorial lives in Westwood World with heritage articles and a What's On listing. Service is a store locator and customer service page, and an Accessibility link sits under a Digital heading in the footer.

Borrow this: a What's On page turns a fashion site into a place with events, which gives press and search a reason to return.

8. Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo is a Salesforce Commerce Cloud site that opens on a static New Arrivals banner, with a Pearls of Wisdom video block further down whose playback we could not confirm. The menu is Women, Bags, Men, Bridal, Gifts, JC World and Collection; a Bridal item at the top level is rare in this list and sensible for a shoe house. The header reads Ship To: United Kingdom (£), there is a Book An Appointment link, and the footer carries an Accessibility link. Markup and fonts could not be checked from the text version.

Borrow this: if one occasion drives a disproportionate share of sales, give it a top level menu item.

9. Anya Hindmarch

Anya Hindmarch runs on Shopify and uses video more than any other site here: five muted, looping clips loaded from Shopify's video hosting with separate desktop sources, plus still pictures. The menu spans Bags, Accessories, Home, Stationery, Travel, Bespoke, Bridal and Gifts, with a top line of in jokes and collaborations: Snoopy First Beagle In Space, The Eyes Edit, I Am A Plastic Bag, Anya Hindmarch Food. The type is Engravers Gothic with Bebas Neue, a location switcher offers 58 regional versions, and a gift box builder loads from its own storage. The editorial section is Anya's World with The Art of Craftsmanship and Shows.

Borrow this: humour is allowed; a menu item that makes a shopper smile does more than another category.

10. Represent

Represent describes itself as luxury British streetwear and runs on Shopify, with one autoplaying muted video routed through a media optimisation service in front of Shopify's hosting, 208 regional versions and a Shipping to control whose copy tells you the billing currency before you change country. The navigation is built around service as much as product: Retail, The Vault, Prestige, Support Hub, Track order, Make a return, Student Discount, Stockists, Lookbooks. Type is a self hosted STK Bureau Sans, Live Chat is a client services component, an accessibility statement is linked, and Klaviyo and Attentive handle email and SMS.

Borrow this: put Track order and Make a return in the navigation; it removes support tickets and signals confidence.

11. Hermès

Hermès is a custom Angular build rendered on the server, and its homepage served two video elements with no sources attached, so the film loads only when the browser asks for it, behind 28 picture elements. The heading reads New season, new perspectives, and the menu is product led with an editorial twist: the current runway show, Knitwear and twillaines, Silk scarves and accessories, and How to tie your scarf. A Ship to button opens a location tray, contact includes WhatsApp UK on weekday hours and a live chat, and the footer carries Maintenance and repair, Find a store and the Apple Watch Hermès stockists. We found no custom font declarations in the page itself.

Borrow this: How to tie your scarf is the best kind of content: it teaches, it sells and it is searched for.

12. Chanel

Chanel runs a custom Next.js front end over an SAP Commerce back end, and its homepage is a sliding hero built from still pictures, not video. The menu covers Haute Couture, Fashion, High Jewellery, the Spring Summer 2027, Métiers d'art 2026 and Cruise shows, Ready To Wear and Handbags, with Find a Boutique and Book an appointment as menu items in their own right. Service copy includes Connect via WhatsApp, Live Chat and Speak directly with your Fashion Advisor. The editorial layer is the deepest in the list: CAMBON Podcasts, CHANEL and Dance, CHANEL and Cinema, Literary Rendez vous at Rue Cambon and an Arts and Culture Magazine. A high contrast mode is offered and a virtual try on service is loaded for jewellery.

Borrow this: treat cultural content as a product line with its own section, not a blog category.

13. Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is a custom build whose homepage leads with a new collection block, LV Ski, built around a poster image for a video we could not confirm playing. The menu is Women, Men, Monogram Anniversary, Bags and Small Leather Goods, Trunks and Travel, Gifts and Personalisation, Perfumes and Beauty, Jewellery, Watches, and Home, Lifestyle and Library. The search box suggests LV Ski, Vivienne and Mon Monogram before you type; the header reads Ship to: United Kingdom; Personal Advisors sit under Services; and the footer carries an accessibility statement and an enhanced contrast control.

Borrow this: seed your search box with three suggestions; it steers shoppers to what you want to sell this month.

14. Celine

Celine runs on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and its menu is set in capitals: NEW, WOMEN, MEN, GIFTS, HAUTE PARFUMERIE, BEAUTÉ, MAISON and CELINE NOW, the last holding CAMPAIGNS, SHOWS, MUSIC and STORE ARCHITECTURE. The header reads United Kingdom | en with a store locator and sign in, the search opens a panel with suggestions, and service is a single contact link. The hero in our read was an image placeholder, so we cannot say whether it plays video, and fonts could not be checked. Skip links to the main content, footer and navigation are present, the accessibility basics done properly without a statement page.

Borrow this: if your shops are beautiful, a Store Architecture page is content nobody else can copy.

15. Loewe

Loewe runs on Salesforce Commerce Cloud through a progressive web app kit and served us its Europe English store, since the locale list offered no separate UK path. The homepage is 30 picture elements and no video, and the menu is five items: Women, Men, Gifts, Art and Craft, Stories. Service is where Loewe stands out: a Book an appointment page, Client Services, a named Client Advisor channel, WhatsApp links and a concierge who contacts you by email when you reserve a product. The type is Avus with a bespoke Loewe face, and the payment configuration lists Klarna, Apple Pay and PayPal without promoting any of them.

Borrow this: offer reservations with a human follow up; it converts hesitant high value shoppers that a checkout button loses.

16. Prada

Prada is a custom build on Adobe Experience Manager with an SAP Commerce back end, and its homepage data references looping films that render only in the browser, so the served page is 56 picture elements. The menu is dated and specific: Women's New Arrivals, Prada Signature Loafers, Prada Essence, the recycled cashmere and wool lines, the ocean conservation collection and the current fashion shows. The header reads Shipping to: United Kingdom/English, service is Call us, Write us on WhatsApp and Live Chat, and the type is GT America. Apple Pay and PayPal are the named methods, and the footer carries Galleria Lifetime Repair and Sustainability.

Borrow this: name a lifetime repair service in the footer; it is the strongest quality claim a brand can make.

17. Ganni

Ganni runs on Salesforce Commerce Cloud behind a performance layer, and its heading tells search engines exactly what it is: GANNI United Kingdom, Scandinavian Women's Fashion, Bags and Accessories. The homepage is 24 picture elements with no video, and the menu leads with New Arrivals, Bags and Shoes before the Spring/Summer 2027 presentation, GANNI x lululemon, GANNI x Hunter and GANNI World, which holds the shows, a community hashtag and Ditte's Favourites. Klarna's messaging script and an Apple Pay button are loaded, Extended Sizes is a navigation item, the footer links to an Accessibility Statement and a 2025 Responsibility Report, and a skip link goes straight to the country selector.

Borrow this: publish your responsibility report as a dated footer link; it answers the question before customer service does.

18. Toteme

Toteme is a Shopify store with a bespoke Toteme Sans in light to bold weights and italics, and a homepage of 18 still images with no video or picture elements, which is as spare as this list gets. The menu runs Women, New In, the current collection, Ready to wear, Bags, Shoes, Jewellery, Accessories, Garderob and Travel; Garderob is the archive line. A Shipping to switcher sits in the header, service is Live Chat, WhatsApp and a contact page with a note about booking an in store appointment, and the editorial layer is Runway, Campaigns and Our Story. An accessibility widget is loaded, and Zendesk handles support.

Borrow this: one typeface, one weight axis and white space will do more for a luxury look than any theme feature.

19. Khaite

Khaite is a Shopify store, named as such in Shopify's guide, and its homepage served four muted looping 1080p videos including the Spring/Summer 2027 runway with a poster image, alongside 77 stills. The menu is Highlights, New Arrivals, the current collection, After Dark, The Wardrobe Edit, KHAITE x Oliver Peoples, Exclusives, Ready to Wear, Handbags and Shoes. A Book An Appointment button opens a booking drawer through the helpdesk, the Ship to drawer lists the United Kingdom in sterling, and Klarna and Afterpay placements are rendered by script. Type is ITC Galliard with Fakt Pro, the footer carries Accessibility Settings with an assistive widget, and Klaviyo and Attentive are loaded.

Borrow this: an appointment drawer inside the page beats a separate booking site; the shopper never leaves the collection.

20. The Row

The Row is a Shopify store with 428 regional versions and the quietest homepage here: a single picture linking to the women's new arrivals, two images in the served page, and the rest loaded by script. The menu is organised by garment rather than by collection: Outerwear, Leather and Shearling, Jackets, Sweaters, Shirts and Tops, Dresses, Shop by Look, Handwoven Blankets, Archive. The type is Basic Commercial set as both heading and text face, a Select country drawer sits in the footer, the contact form confirms appointment requests, and an Accessibility page is linked. Shop Pay and PayPal are the named methods and Klaviyo handles email.

Borrow this: Shop by Look is the simplest cross sell there is; it needs good photography and nothing else.

What a Smaller Brand Can Borrow

None of the twenty depends on a trick that needs a seven figure build. The common ingredients translate directly to a Shopify theme.

  • Pay for photography before features. When we helped Halo Coffee with its rebrand and relaunch, Halo invested in specialist product photography and worked with the creative agency Uncommon, and conversion rate rose from 0.5% to 3% after the relaunched site went live.
  • Cut the menu. Alexander McQueen manages with seven items and Loewe with five; most Shopify stores we audit carry three times that.
  • Give the story a home. A Journal, World or Stories section that the navigation links to, updated monthly, is the single most imitable feature in this list.
  • Set the country early. Shopify Markets gives any plan a ship to selector with local currency; see our guide to Shopify Markets.
  • Offer a human. An appointment form, a WhatsApp number or a live chat with real hours; nine of the 20 book appointments from the homepage.
  • Then fix the product page. When we improve product pages, conversion rate typically rises by about 2 percentage points for badly designed pages and by 0.5 to 1 point for average to well designed ones; our guide to product page design covers what to change.

Why Matters Perspective

Our view is that the luxury look is a discipline, not a budget. Seven of these twenty sites run on the same Shopify that a £19 a month store uses, and what separates them from an average Shopify theme is restraint: one typeface family, one hero, a short menu, generous white space and photography that was shot for the site rather than for a marketplace listing. The expensive parts, concierge services and bespoke builds, come after the discipline, not instead of it.

We build Shopify stores for premium and luxury brands from Brighton, and the briefs that work start with imagery and typography rather than apps. We are a Shopify Select partner with Verified Skills across development and marketing, and a Klaviyo, Recharge, Awin, Meta and TikTok partner. Retainer clients are billed one month in arrears and are not tied into long contracts, and development projects carry a 3 month guarantee. If you want a site that looks like it belongs in this list, see our Shopify agency page or read our guide to briefing a Shopify designer first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which luxury fashion brands use Shopify?

Of the 20 sites we checked on 24 October 2026, Victoria Beckham, Sunspel, Anya Hindmarch, Represent, Toteme, Khaite and The Row run on Shopify, identified from Shopify's content delivery paths and theme objects in their page code. Shopify's own enterprise guide also names Skims and Bremont among luxury brands on the platform.

What makes a luxury fashion website design?

The sites in this list share a near silent header, a single hero image or muted loop, a short navigation that leads with new arrivals and signature products, custom or carefully licensed typography, an editorial section for the house story, a country or ship to selector, and a visible route to a person through appointments, advisors, WhatsApp or live chat.

Do luxury brands use video on their homepages?

Less than you would expect. Only six of the 20 homepages served a video element in their page code (Sunspel, Anya Hindmarch, Khaite, Represent, Hermès and Burberry), and all of them mute it and loop it. Others such as Prada and Louis Vuitton reference film that loads only once the browser runs their scripts.

Do luxury fashion websites offer Klarna or Clearpay?

Rarely on the homepage. Victoria Beckham shows Klarna and Clearpay among its payment icons, and Ganni and Khaite load Klarna messaging, but the other 17 do not promote instalments, even where their payment configuration accepts them. Luxury brands tend to offer the method at checkout without advertising it.

Can a small brand make a Shopify store look like a luxury site?

Yes, because the look depends on choices rather than platform. Pick one typeface family, use one hero, cut the menu to under ten items, commission photography for the site, add a Journal or Stories section and a ship to selector, and offer a human contact. Seven of the 20 sites in this list are Shopify stores, three of them with videos served from Shopify's own hosting.

Why do luxury websites ask where you are shipping to?

Because currency, duties and delivery promises differ by country and are the most common reason international orders fail at checkout. Eighteen of the 20 sites show a country or ship to control in the header or footer, and several state the billing currency before you change it. Shopify Markets provides the same control on every Shopify plan.

Final Thoughts

Twenty sites, three platforms, one formula. The houses in this list win on typography, photography, a short menu, a story section and service that is one click away; the platform underneath, Shopify for seven of them, is almost beside the point. Copy the discipline first and the features will follow.
